„Oldřich Liška belonging to the group of painters pretty influenced by the famous Czech painter Zdeněk Burian. So, on Liška´s pictures are possible to discover advanture motives created by the well-known writers as well as K. May, J. Verne, R.L. Stevenson, Z. Grey, etc. He created plenty of illustrations demonstrated life of sailors, prospectors or American natives. To the most familiar belong his cover-sheets created for books by the advanture novels classic Z. Grey which were published by the Olympia Publishing. From 1993 he creates the cover-sheets for books by the famous crime and horse-race novels writer Dick Francis. O. Liška also created a lot of illustrations for classical fairy tales by H.Ch. Andersen and calenders for children, for example, Calender for Schoolbag 1994 or Calender through the Centuries 2000. For Ivo Železný Publishing he created tens of cover-sheets for "Evenings below the Lamp". He cooperates with Baronet Publishing to create the cover-sheets with a lot of women portraits and sci-fi or fantasy novels as well. Except of the illustration he is also a free-creator.“
